VALUES & FRAMEWORK
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Sexual Violence Prevention Association (SVPA) is to prevent sexual violence systemically by transforming public policy, institutional procedures, and research practices.
VALUES & FRAMEWORK

INTERSECTIONAL & INCLUSIVE APPROACH
We are focused on the devastating issue of sexual violence. This issue is pervasive in all communities and cultures. Therefore,
we are not explicitly focused on violence against women. We are dedicated to preventing sexual violence for all genders, gender orientations, sexual orientations, races, ethnicities, abilities, ages, religions, citizenship status, language, socio-economic class, educational background, etc.

SOCIO-ECOLOGICAL FRAMEWORK
We utilize a socio-ecological approach to change. Sexual violence involves impact on every level from the individual to the structural level. Our mission is one of structural change. Therefore, we focus on improving policies, programs, and procedures to prevent sexual violence.
We partner with organizations working
at all levels of the socio-economic
model to create a coalition for
collective impact.

EVALUATIVE & TRANSPARENT VALUES
We value transparency with everyone including our employees, volunteers, partners, donors, etc. Therefore, we feel
it is our duty to utilize evidence-based
practices and transparent evaluation techniques. Structural impact can be difficult to measure but we account for this by using evidence-based practices
and dedicating time and resources to continuously develop a rigorous
evaluation process.
